Gurashvili’s Family Vineyards Kisi Dry White 2017

A traditional qvevri amber wine from the Gurashvili family in Kakheti, Georgia, made from the indigenous Kisi grape with extended skin contact in buried clay qvevri. Expect the deep golden-amber colour and the structured, gently tannic character that skin-contact qvevri vinification gives this variety, with ripe orchard and stone-fruit notes and a dry, savoury finish. A food wine in the Georgian tradition — good with rich poultry, walnuts and spiced dishes.
