Mas de Lavail Terre d’Ardoise Vieilles Vignes Carignan Rouge 2019

An old-vine Carignan from Mas de Lavail in Maury (Côtes Catalanes), at the foot of the Pyrenees. Deep, almost-black garnet, with an intense nose of dark fruit, chocolate and liquorice (Zan) over toasty, scrubland and olive notes. Fleshy and full on the palate, with tightly woven, supple tannins, real depth and a long, spiced finish. A powerful, well-balanced red — serve around 18°C with poultry in sauce and roasted meats.
